Traxure compared with other ways to watch your releases
Spotify and some distributors now offer tools that cover part of the job. Here is what each one does, based on each company's own pages, and where Traxure fits.
Checked against each company's own pages on October 27, 2026
Short answer
Spotify's Artist Profile Protection lets some artists review or block releases delivered under their name on Spotify. Too Lost Profile Defender and TuneCore Release Tracker are for those distributors' own customers. Traxure works with any distributor and checks each release you import on Spotify and 7 other platforms. It alerts you when a release goes missing, its details change or an unexpected release appears. Many artists will want Traxure alongside Spotify's tool, not instead of it.

“Not described” means the company's public pages don't say either way, not that the feature is missing.
Spotify Artist Profile Protection
Spotify's own tool, in limited beta. When a release is delivered under your name, you get an email and can review it and remove yourself within 28 days of it going live. A smaller group of artists can block releases until they approve them, and pre-approve trusted distributors with an artist key.
It covers Spotify only, and it is about releases added to your profile. If Spotify offers it to you, turn it on. For artists who get the block setting, it is the only option here that can stop a wrong release before it appears. Traxure does not block releases. It tells you what changed, including takedowns and changed details, on Spotify and the other platforms.
Too Lost Profile Defender
A feature for Too Lost customers, announced in January 2026. You connect your Spotify and Apple Music profiles, and it flags releases that were not delivered through your Too Lost account, so you can move them into your catalog or report them.
If all your music goes out through Too Lost, it is worth turning on. Traxure works whichever distributor you use, or if you use more than one, and also watches for releases that go missing or change.
TuneCore Release Tracker
Shows where a new TuneCore release is in delivery: submitted, processing, sent to stores and live, with a note when something needs your action. It is included on TuneCore's Rising, Breakout and Professional plans.
It follows a release up to release day. Traxure starts once your releases are live and keeps checking them afterwards.
What Traxure does not do
Traxure does not block releases, file takedowns or contact your distributor or the platforms for you. You decide what to send, and each alert includes the evidence to send it. It does not count streams, followers or playlist adds. Matching covers, AI copies and lyrics by sound is on the roadmap, not live.
Questions artists ask
Does Spotify tell me when my music is taken down?
Spotify's help page for music that unexpectedly disappears points you to your label or distributor, and does not describe an alert. Artist Profile Protection emails you about releases added under your name, not about releases that are removed. Traxure checks your Spotify profile every 12 hours and alerts you when a release you imported is missing.
Should I use Traxure instead of Artist Profile Protection?
No, use both if you can. Artist Profile Protection can stop a wrong release before it reaches your Spotify profile. Traxure tells you about takedowns, changed details and unexpected releases on Spotify and the other platforms it checks.
Do I need to change distributors to use Traxure?
No. Traxure works with any distributor, and with more than one. It never contacts your distributor; you stay in charge of what gets sent.
Traxure
Know the same day, not weeks later.
Traxure checks your releases on Spotify and other platforms around the clock, confirms a change before alerting you and tells you what to do next. Seven-day free trial.
