Move Guard
Move your music without losing it.
Song wrongly taken down by your distributor? Ready to leave for a better one? Move Guard hands you everything the new distributor needs, then checks the new upload matches and is live on every platform.
Taken down?
Put it back up through another distributor in three steps. We watch for it on every platform and tell you when it's back.
Switching distributors?
Upload to the new one first and leave the old one up. We tell you when the new version is live everywhere, so you know when it's safe to take the old one down.
All you need
UPC
Your release's barcode. It's in your move kit.
ISRCs
One per track. Reusing them is what keeps your play counts. Also in your kit.
Original audio
The exact same master files you uploaded before.
Cover art
The same image you used before.
Matching details
Same title, artist names, track order and the original release date.
How it works
Get your move kit
In Traxure, open Releases → Move Guard and choose the release. Download the kit: UPC, every ISRC and the release details, ready to copy into the new distributor's form.
Upload to your new distributor
Use the same audio and cover art, type the ISRCs from the kit and set the original release date. Switching? Leave the old version up for now.
Tell Traxure the new UPC
Paste it into Move Guard. We watch for the new version on every platform and check it matches the old one.
Take the old one down last
Switching? When Move Guard says the new version is live everywhere, ask your old distributor to take theirs down.
What Move Guard checks
- Same ISRCs on every track
- Same title and track count
- Original release date kept
- New version live on each platform
- Both versions up at once
- When it's safe to take the old one down
On Spotify, Apple Music and the other platforms we check for your releases, skipping any your distributor doesn't deliver to.
Where to go next
Before you upload, check that the new distributor lets you enter your existing ISRCs and the original release date.
Questions artists ask
Will I keep my play counts?
Usually, on Spotify, when the new upload has the same ISRCs, the same audio and the same details. It isn't guaranteed, playlist placements may not follow, and YouTube views start again from zero. Move Guard checks the parts you control.
Do I need my old UPC?
No. Most new distributors issue their own UPC, and that's fine. Tell Traxure the new one so we can watch for it.
My song was taken down for a rights claim or fake streams. Should I just upload it elsewhere?
Sort that out first. A claim or an artificial-streaming flag follows the recording, and uploading it again can get the new account flagged too. Your alert shows the most likely cause and an evidence pack to send your distributor.
Does Traxure contact my distributor?
No. Traxure never sends anything for you. You upload, you ask for the takedown, and Move Guard checks the result.
Is Move Guard extra?
No. It's included on every plan, including the seven-day free trial.
Traxure
