Guide
SubmitHub vs Playlist Push vs Groover: cost and risks
All three let you pay to put a song in front of playlist curators, and none of them promises you a placement. This guide compares their prices and rules using each company's own pages. It also explains the Spotify rule you should read before you spend any money.
Updated November 2, 2026
Short answer
SubmitHub charges 1 to 5 credits per curator, and most users pay about $0.80 a credit. Groover usually charges 2 Grooviz per curator, and 1 Grooviz is €1. Playlist Push sells campaigns with a $280 minimum. None of them guarantees a placement. Spotify tells artists to be highly skeptical of services that charge to be considered for user playlists, and says that model is against its terms, so read its rule before you pay. Pitching to Spotify's own editors is free.
What to do, in order
Pitch Spotify's editors first
Pitching an unreleased song in Spotify for Artists costs nothing. Do it at least 7 days before release day, which also lets you choose the song your followers get in Release Radar.
Read Spotify's rule
Spotify's artificial streaming page covers paid promotion and what can happen to a song. Read it before you decide, because the risk falls on you and your release.
Research the service
Spotify suggests asking how a service promotes music, reading reviews from artists who've used it and searching for reports of artificial streaming.
Start small if you go ahead
SubmitHub suggests 5 to 10 curators for a first submission. A small test tells you more than a large budget spent all at once.
Watch your stats afterwards
Check Spotify for Artists for sudden spikes, streams from places you've never been active, or streams from sources you can't explain.
Report anything that looks wrong
Tell your distributor or label, and share the name of any service you used. You can also report a suspicious playlist to Spotify.

What Spotify says
Spotify says marketing services that promise streams or playlist placements for a fee are scams and should be avoided. It also says some services charge money to be considered for user playlists without guaranteeing a place. It tells artists to be highly skeptical of those, says that model is against its terms, and warns they may use artificial streaming.
Spotify's page doesn't name any company. SubmitHub says its curators share songs because they like them and aren't paid extra to do so. Groover says it isn't payola and that curators stay free to share a song or not. Playlist Push says it pays curators to review songs and doesn't guarantee results.
Those are the companies' own descriptions. Only Spotify can say how its rules apply to a particular service, so if that risk matters to you, ask your distributor before you pay.
SubmitHub
You choose the curators yourself and can see each one's price first. A premium credit puts your song at the top of the curator's list. The curator has three days to reply, must listen for at least a minute, and must either approve the song or explain a rejection in at least 20 words. Otherwise, the credit comes back.
SubmitHub also gives away 2 standard credits every 4 hours. Those work with about 20% of curators, and curators don't have to follow the premium rules when they get one. SubmitHub says plainly that there are no guarantees of streams or placements.
Playlist Push
You set a campaign budget, and Playlist Push sends your song to the curators who run its playlists. They earn up to $15 for each review. The minimum for a Spotify campaign is $280, and the calculator on its pricing page shows $630 reaching 79 playlists as an example.
Playlist Push says your results aren't guaranteed. Its pricing page also says the service isn't available in some regions, so check yours before you plan a campaign.
Groover
You add a YouTube or SoundCloud link, pick your curators and write a short pitch. Groover reaches radio stations, labels and other music pros as well as playlist curators, so it isn't only about Spotify.
What Groover guarantees is a reply, not a placement. It says its response rate is above 85% and returns your Grooviz if a curator doesn't answer within 7 days. Curators stay free to share your song or not.
What a small test costs
Here's roughly what a first try costs at published prices. Your real price depends on which curators you choose and, on Playlist Push, your genres.
- SubmitHub, 10 curators: about $8 to $40, at $0.80 a credit and 1 to 5 credits per curator.
- Groover, 10 standard curators: 20 Grooviz, which is €20.
- Playlist Push: $280 minimum.
Warning signs in your stats
Spotify lists these as abnormal activity. If you see them, tell your distributor or label and share the details of any service you hired.
- A sudden spike in streams with no clear reason, followed by a drop.
- A spike from a location where your songs haven't been active.
- Most of your streams coming from an unexplained source, such as "Other".
- A sudden, short-lived jump in followers.
- A warning or penalty fee from your distributor.
How Traxure helps
Traxure doesn't pitch songs or rate playlists. It watches your releases once they're out. It checks your Spotify profile every 12 hours and your full catalog on 12 platforms every day. If a release goes missing on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL, SoundCloud or Pandora, it emails you the before, the after and a note to your distributor ready to send. Monitoring starts with a seven-day free trial.
This comparison is based on each company's own pages, checked on 2 November 2026, not a paid test.
Questions artists ask
Is SubmitHub legit or a scam?
SubmitHub says it isn't a scam: it says it vets its curators and doesn't guarantee streams or placements. It also acknowledges that you'll find both positive and negative reviews, so read those and Spotify's rules before you pay.
Is Playlist Push worth the money?
That depends on your budget and song. The minimum Spotify campaign is $280 and Playlist Push doesn't guarantee results, so you could spend that and get no placements.
How much does Groover cost?
Most curators cost 2 Grooviz, and top curators cost 4 or 6. One Grooviz is €1. If a curator doesn't reply within 7 days, your Grooviz come back.
Can using these services get my song removed from Spotify?
Spotify says it can remove songs from playlists, or from Spotify altogether, depending on how serious the artificial streaming is. Your distributor can also issue warnings, charge a fee, suspend your account or remove your music. If you hire a service, check its methods first.
Is there a free way to get on Spotify playlists?
Yes. You can pitch an unreleased song to Spotify's editors for free in Spotify for Artists, though that doesn't guarantee a placement. Fans adding your song to their own playlists also helps Spotify decide what to recommend.
