TIDAL for Artists: how to claim your profile and fix it

TIDAL's artist tools are called TIDAL Artist Home. You now start a claim on tidal.com itself, from your artist page, and how long it takes depends on how you verify. The distributor route is usually immediate, and manual review can take up to eight weeks.

Updated November 2, 2026

Short answer

To claim a TIDAL artist profile, log in at tidal.com, search your artist name, open your profile, select the claim option and choose how to verify. Verifying through a distributor, currently DistroKid, CD Baby or TuneCore, usually gives immediate approval. Manual review can take up to eight weeks. One TIDAL account can claim one profile.

What to do, in order

  1. Log in and find your profile

Log in at tidal.com, search your artist name and open your profile. Check the discography first, because several artists can share a name.

  2. Select the claim option

If there's no claim option, a claim may be pending, or the profile may be restricted or already claimed. Contact TIDAL Artist Support if so.

  3. Choose how to verify

Use your distributor if it's one of those offered, currently DistroKid, CD Baby and TuneCore. That usually gives immediate approval. Otherwise choose manual review, which can take up to eight weeks.

  4. Add your team

TIDAL Artist Home has a Team area with an option to add a new team member. Owner and Admin roles exist, and ownership can be transferred.

  5. Update your bio and images

You can manage both in Artist Home. Your profile name may be updated to match your distributor's record when a profile is claimed, moved or merged.

Who can claim

TIDAL's artist terms give access to artists and songwriters with content on TIDAL, or their authorized representatives, where TIDAL is available. You must be 18 or the age of majority, or 13 with a parent's consent. One TIDAL account can claim one profile, and claims made in Artist Home before the current process stay valid.

How to report a wrong profile

Use the TIDAL web player or desktop app, because the mobile apps don't offer this yet. Open the artist, album or track, select Report and choose the option that fits. Report from the profile where the content is showing now.

  • The report options cover releases on the wrong profile, wrong artist information, and requests to merge or split profiles.
  • After approval, updates to a claimed profile may take up to 24 hours.
  • Followers from closed profiles don't transfer when profiles merge.

What has to go through your distributor

You can't remove distributed music through Artist Home, so contact your label or distributor. They are also the route when TIDAL removes content for artificial streaming. Lyrics are managed through Musixmatch rather than TIDAL.

Keep the profile with your team

If you own a page, transfer ownership before you delete your TIDAL account. Otherwise your team may lose access and the page may become claimable again. Canceling a streaming subscription doesn't remove your Artist Home access.

How Traxure helps

Traxure checks your releases on TIDAL once a day, alongside Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, SoundCloud and Pandora. When a release stops showing, it emails you the before, the after and a note to your distributor ready to send. It works with any distributor, and monitoring starts with a seven-day free trial.
