TikTok for Artists: how to get access and what it shows

TikTok for Artists is TikTok's music insights platform for artists, labels and their teams. It launched globally on 3 June 2025. It shows how your songs and posts perform on TikTok, and you need a certified artist account to use it.

Updated November 2, 2026

Short answer

To use TikTok for Artists, first get a certified artist account in the TikTok app: go to TikTok Studio, find Artist Hub or TikTok for Artists under More tools, then claim your artist name with screenshots from a streaming or distribution platform. TikTok says it gives feedback within 30 days. Then log in at artists.tiktok.com and connect a TikTok for Business account. This doesn't convert your artist account.

What to do, in order

  1. Open the application in the app

In the TikTok app, go to your profile, tap the three dots, open TikTok Studio, find Artist Hub or TikTok for Artists under More tools, and choose Apply now.

  2. Claim your artist name

Search for your artist name and choose Claim. Upload screenshots from a streaming or distribution platform showing the profile editing buttons, your artist name and your album or track titles.

  3. Wait for review

TikTok says it gives feedback on the application within 30 days. Your registered country also has to be on its eligible list, which includes the US, UK and Canada among others.

  4. Log in to the dashboard

Go to artists.tiktok.com, choose artist or team member, and connect a TikTok for Business account. TikTok says this doesn't convert your artist account.

  5. Invite your team

An artist team has one Artist, one Admin, and up to 20 Editors and Readers combined. Label teams verify separately with a MediaMatch account.

  6. Check your Music Tab

Look through the songs on your Music Tab. If one is missing or wrongly listed, use the support form in TikTok for Artists.

What TikTok for Artists shows

Dashboards update daily and cover your activity on TikTok.

  • Song performance: views, posts and creator engagement for each track.
  • Post performance: views, likes, comments, shares and completion rates.
  • Follower insights: self-declared gender, age and language.
  • A Pre-Release tool for upcoming albums, which lets fans pre-save to Spotify or Apple Music.

The artist tag

TikTok's help center says the artist tag requires more than 4 songs delivered and more than 100 videos using your songs. An older 2023 TikTok post gives a lower number, so go by the help center.

Fixing problems

Most fixes go through the support form inside TikTok for Artists, and only the owner or team members with access can submit it. TikTok says form issues are typically resolved within 7 business days.

  • A song wrongly on your Music Tab: choose Remove songs from the music tab. This only works for wrongly mapped songs, not for your own.
  • A song missing from your tab: choose Add songs to music tab.
  • A sound linked to the wrong song: choose songs, then correct the song linked to a sound detail page.
  • Someone impersonating you: use TikTok's impersonation forms or Report in the app.
  • Your music used without permission: use TikTok's copyright report in the app or its online form.

How Traxure helps

A song that takes off on TikTok sends people to the streaming services to find it. Traxure doesn't check TikTok sounds, but it does watch those services: your Spotify profile every 12 hours and your full catalog every day, plus Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL, SoundCloud and Pandora. If a release stops showing, you get an email with a note to your distributor ready to send. Monitoring starts with a seven-day free trial.

TikTok's rules were taken from its own help center and newsroom, and can change.
